A Bitterroot Salish woman, and an enrolled Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribal citizen from Arlee, I'm the oldest child of Malissa and the late Dane Morigeau, granddaughter of Frances 'Plesewe' Vanderburg, and a 100th generation Montanan.

 

I  currently serve as Vice-Chairperson on the Board of Directors at All Nations Health Center and a member of Montana Women Vote advisory board.  I'm the Communications Manager at United Way of Missoula County. I'm a proud graduate of the University of Montana.

 

I'm optimistic, forward-thinking, and ready to fight for our shared Democratic values.

Why I'm running

Montana is ready for a new generation of leaders to represent the people of the state with truth, optimism, and decency. We need fresh experience and new energy in the legislature to solve problems.

I’m running for the Montana State Legislature because together we can:​

  • Protect access to healthcare

  • Make housing attainable and cut property taxes

  • Protect bodily autonomy and choice

  • Fight for public schools and higher education

  • Address childcare needs

  • Use traditional ecological knowledge to bolster conservation efforts

  • Consult and collaborate with tribal nations

  • Preserve the Montana constitution

 

Where I'm running

Senate District 46 encompasses House Districts 91 & 92 and runs from Ronan to Dixon, down to Arlee and the Rattlesnake area of Missoula, over to East Missoula before running north through Clearwater to Condon. This is the historic land of my people for 100 generations. I have traversed Lake, Missoula, and Sanders counties countless times, and it is with profound honor that I strive to represent the homelands that have shaped me and the communities I hold dear.
